Keeping affordability at the centre of budget decisions

Ensuring smart, efficient solutions to our water capacity challenges so our community can grow responsibly

I will focus on building more affordable housing by using existing infrastructure rather than expanding outward

I will make responsible budget decisions that support housing projects that have been delayed or put on hold

I am committed to making better use of unused, regionally owned properties and transform them into affordable housing opportunities without expanding the urban boundary

I will work toward stronger rent control and long‑term planning that is practical, sustainable, and truly meets the needs of our community

I will advocate for additional provincial programs that will allow more people to purchase a home of their own

Safer roads and neighbourhoods  matter for everyone!

I am committed to supporting our emergency services so they have what they need to keep our neighbourhoods safe. I will work closely with community partners to educate the public about speeding, stunt driving, and other dangerous behaviours, and help build targeted safety campaigns that encourage drivers to slow down

I will focus on fixing potholes, improving everyday road conditions, and strengthening school safety zones for children and families

I will advocate for traffic‑calming measures in neighbourhoods, school zones, and new development areas across the region

I will support expanded efforts to raise awareness and stop human trafficking, and continue supporting “We All Belong Here” initiatives that promote inclusion and safety for everyone

Connectivity is key to getting you where you need to go and when!

I will push for expanded bus routes and advocate for expanded frequency of connector routes 

I am committed to keeping Stage 2 of the Light Rail Transit moving forward so more people can access jobs, services, and opportunities across the region — all while ensuring responsible, sustainable budgeting 

I will collaboratively address needs for additional accessible transit services during peak times and explore options to create and expand partnerships with the townships 

Every decision made is made with thoughtful, responsible planning for the future!

Collaboratively make decisions that are community-focused while responsibly growing our region

Push for a more equitable deal from the province so our tax payers are not having to carry the cost alone

Committed to listening to community feedback and delivering responsible, practical solutions 

I will advocate for a fair budget that will keep the services our residents rely on while focused on a realistic, feasible, and sustainable budget that strengthens services and supports responsible growth 

No one in our community should ever have to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table

I am committed to expanding funding and resources for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region and programs that support children facing food insecurity

I will work with community partners to make food more accessible by creating additional drop‑off and pick‑up locations in neighbourhoods that need them most, and in places that are easy and accessible for families to reach

Every child deserves a healthy, safe start in life!

I am committed to expanding affordable child‑care spaces 

Making sports, arts, and cultural programs more accessible and affordable for children and youth

I will support the efforts of the Child and Youth Planning table and advocate for increased funding to expand the resources for the program

I will work with local partners to strengthen programs that address child and youth hunger and support mental well‑being

I will work in partnership with municipal libraries to promote literacy and education, so every child has the chance to grow, learn, and thrive

I will advocate for increased funding for the upstream funding program with a focus specifically geared toward youth programs

Effective Response will reduce wait time and address systemic issues!

I am dedicated to expanding the Community Paramedicine Program so more people can receive care at home, reducing non‑emergency calls 

I will support programs that treat addictions by addressing the root causes and systemic issues behind them

I will work with community partners to build a community‑based mental health response system that provides the right support during crises and frees first responders to focus on emergencies

Safe Community Based Supports 

I will advocate for additional support programs that address intimate partner violence and childhood trauma, ensuring individuals and families have access to the care and protection they deserve 

I will work with community partners to expand funding for sexual‑assault centres and mental‑health programs 

I am committed to strengthening mental‑health supports for veterans and first responders who carry unique burdens from their service and will look to working with first responders to expand resources and funding to support this initiative

I will push to keep and expand valuable support programs that our marginalized community members rely on 

Senior Based Community Support

I advocate to continue the senior free‑bus pilot and work with Grand River Transit to address program specifics to make the program more user‑friendly and accessible for seniors who may not be technology familiar. I will look at partnering with municipal libraries or community spaces to assist with in person  sign up

I will work with municipal and community partners to provide additional services and resources for active seniors

I will work with community partners to develop senior‑specific food‑insecurity programs 

Address the need for more affordable housing options for older adults and advocate for funding to prevent seniors from becoming homeless  

Work with senior‑focused organizations to create a Healthy Minds Program that brings seniors and youth together to share programs, stories, and resources — helping bridge generational gaps and strengthen community connections
